Our last experience of our anniversary weekend was traveling through the city of San Diego, driving around Balboa Park and then over the incredible Coronado Bridge to Hotel Del Coronado where we enjoyed some hot chocolate and watched the sunset. I fell in love with Coronado right then and understood why so many celebrities and practically every US President has stayed at this hotel.
Two years. Such a short time in comparison to all eternity that lays ahead, but it feels like such an accomplishment. I am so grateful for so much happiness and growth over these two years and so much more in the years to come.

As long as it is not the busy summer season, you can drive past the hotel and park along the 75. From there it is just a short walk up the sidewalk to the hotel. After exploring the shops underneath the hotel and the beautiful lobby architecture you can make your way out to the beach to watch the sunset. Sometimes you'll even catch The Sandcastle Man's latest creation right in front of the hotel! The day we were there he had recreated the hotel in sand with exquisite detail.
